In Sealed a repeated form carries a Heart at the base a Dove and Cross at its center, shifting through color while remaining unchanged at its core.

Sealed reflects an identity that is received and held, constant at the center, though expressed in many ways.

Present Tense

A raw wooden cross stands against a mirrored surface, drawing the viewer into the work. The weathered wood speaks to what is human, worn, and real, while the mirror introduces clarity, collapsing distance between the viewer and the moment of the cross.

Well Pleased

2025

Well Pleased, a dove formed from Magic Eraser reflects a process of abrasion and refinement, shaped through removal rather than addition. Its constructed form holds a symbol of purity while revealing the effort behind it.

Well Pleased shifts the focus from making to meaning, suggesting that acceptance is not found in perfection, but given within the process of becoming.

Break the Glass

A Bible sits behind glass in a familiar emergency case, labeled “In case of complacency break glass.” The work redirects crisis toward a quieter danger: spiritual indifference. Visible yet withheld, the text invites not discovery, but decision. Set Apart

Set Apart is a meditation on being called and shaped with intention. The form, suggestive of a dove in motion, emerges from a single surface, cut, defined, and lifted away. It speaks to the tension between our own choices and the guidance we receive, between striving and surrender. To be set apart is not isolation, but alignment.  A quiet trust in the direction we are carried.

Still Motion reflects the tension between effort and restraint, movement and stillness. The ladder suggests ascent, yet its unstable base resists certainty, holding each step in question. It points to the experience of moving forward without solid ground, where perseverance is required, and progress is not always visible. In this space, motion becomes an act of trust, carried even
